In this session we will examine the role of working memory and long-term memory in thinking and apply those concepts to several classroom videos.

Examining the manner in which two teachers design their lessons and prepare to teach we can extract some key lessons all teachers can use and apply to help students be more successful

Doug Lemov

Doug Lemov is the author of the book Teach Like a Champion, now in it's 3.0 version, and most recently the Teach Like a Champion Guide to the Science of Reading. The books are well-known for combining cognitive science with the study of classroom video from high-performing teachers, especially in challenging settings. He lives in the United States but loves working with teachers in the Netherlands.
